Our Vision
Fundamental to our vision is a focus on research, and an emphasis on the generation of new knowledge that leads to positive changes in families affected by parental illness. We believe that by expanding the Prato research collaborative to include International change agents will provide a broader representational approach that will strengthen research efforts, inform policy development for practice change, and educate the workforce and improve service delivery, all of which can help generate social change for children and families of parents living with mental health conditions. Today, the International Research Collaborative for Change in Parent and Child Mental Health is a growing collaborative of researchers and change agents committed to advancing the field of parental mental health.
Our Mission
Our mission is to collaborate internationally in research, knowledge translation and dissemination to inform policy, practice and advocacy and, ultimately, improve the lives of families where parents experience mental health challenges.
Our Goals

3. Mentor graduate students and early career researchers
Provide mentorship to cultivate future leaders in this field.
4. Translate and disseminate our research
Share research through, but not limited to, conferences, visiting scholars, co-produced books, book chapters, special journal issues, and journal articles.
5. Support research grant and funding applications
Foster the development of national and international research grant and funding applications to contribute to the development of the evidence-base in the field.
